OpenSolaris now on Toshiba laptops

opensolaris-desktop-smallToshiba now supports OpenSolaris; they will be making laptops that are pre-configured to run with OpenSloaris. You guys are probably wondering what is OpenSloaris well OpenSolaris is an Operating System made by Sun. It is a verily new Operating System only being released in 2005. It is run off the UNIX platform that is what OS X is built off of. Also which all the Linux Distros are built off of. It is a very solid platform; I haven’t had the chance to try out OpenSolaris. I like a lot of Operating Systems going open source that of course UNIX is and so is OpenSolaris. Hence the word “Open” Solaris it is all community driven which most Linux Distros are to. Ubuntu one of the most popular Linux Distros is community ran and is a very solid OS the one thing bad about it is that it doesn’t have one single installer packages. If OpenSolaris only has one installer package that would make it a better OS. Also they need to have a good UI that is the base of every OS. Hopefully Toshiba makes a good laptop for OpenSolaris and maybe even build a Desktop Computer for it. I know this will never beat out Windows or OS X but it give us an other OS to choose from.
